Week 14

This week has been productive. I was able to get back in the kitchen and am trying to indulge all of my cravings in order to start putting on weight. This had inlcuded tomatillo chicken (in the crock pot), fritos and ranch dip, and homeade pumpkin pie. Hondo and I went out to an Indian buffet as well and I enjoyed the cumin seed potaotes with lentils, butter chiken and naan with gallons of mint chutney. I am back to working 3 days per week (cut down to 2 a week during first trimester), and that is going well. I have been experiencing some wierd abdominal "pulling" (i am sure that there is a better word)... some of it is muscular from being stretched, some muscular from being utilized (we are trying to clean out all of the crap that the prior owners left down in the basement), and some i think is ligaments stretching internally. I am experiencing this especially around my belly button which used to be a cavernous "innie." This is the first time ever that I can see inside my belly button without the use of a flashlight and a pair of tweezers (gross I know). So, it must be as my uterus is growing and pushing up my internal organs, the ligament that held down my belly button is giving way (damn! does that mean i will have a droopy belly button after baby is born?)... i'm sure that will not be the only part of me that is droopy!!

Anyhoo... enough anatomy! We have another OB apt. on monday. We will find out when the Ultrasound will be scheduled. I am still thinking the baby is a boy just because Mr. Moon is enjoying my lap for the first time ever (he is usually only a "daddy" cat). My mom said today that she had a dream of me having a boy as well... I am really looking forward to finding out which sperm won and weather our baby is boy or girl! Then the name game will begin.

Enough for now. Going to eat beans and cornbread for dinner with some butter of course!!
