New counter tops, de-cluttered my "storage rack", and all new light fixtures.... Still got to work with the portable dishwasher, but it is handy extra counter top and a nice place for the Kitchen Aide!!
We removed the old lady wall paper and primed everything with Killzs Premium...
I put up some art work on the walls - I think we are going to leave any further painting until after the holidays?
I wanted to paint the kitchen "Shallow Sea," but I think it will be too busy? I'm thinking a more neutral color would look better? More like sand and less like sea??
I got a new bread box, which looks much better than all of those loaves of bread/knives/clutter on the new countertop. Thanks to the Containter Store!Obviously we need to replace the flooring and replace the base board molding throughout the kitchen, dining, hallway and morning rooms.... we are thinking of using this laminate.
Hopefully this "Recession Renovation" will last until we can to a complete gut job/remodel of the kitchen - in about 5 years?
